Life term awarded to five in double murder case

KHAIRPUR: Five accused of double murders were sentenced life imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs 0.1 million each on Thursday.

According to details, the 2nd additional district and sessions judge Khairpur Aftab Ahmed Arian announced verdict in a double murder case, and awarded life imprisonment to five accused, Abdul Hameed Khaskheli, Ali Akber Khaskheli, Imdad Khaskheli, Saeedullah Khaskheli and Gulzar Khaskheli and also imposed fine of Rs. 100000/= to each. In default of fine payment the accused will undergo one year more in jail.

The court also convicted the above accused for three years each more and imposed fine of Rs 30000/= each in another case of carrying illegal arms. In default of the payment the accused will remain in jail for six more months.

They t had killed two laborers Illmuddin Leghari and Abdullah Leghari near village Sanjar Khan Leghari in the jurisdiction of Kotdiji police station in year 2010 over old enmity.
