Malala hailed for winning Noble Prize

KARACHI: Sindh Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr Asim Hussain on Sunday congratuled Malala Yousafzai on winning the Nobel Peace Prize

In a statement, Dr Asim said the services of Malala regarding provision of education to the country girls, particularly in tribal areas, were courageous, admirable and praiseworthy.

He said that Malala demonstrated high performance for educating girls and encouraging parents to send girls for education despite opposition and fears. In this regard, she brightened the name of Pakistan not only at national but also at the international level.

She proved that Pakistan is an independent and welfare state where safeguarding of women’s rights is mandatory.
