Man acquitted in weapons case

Karachi: An Additional District & Session Judge East acquitted an accused in illegal weapons’ possession case due to lack of evidence.

The Court found Aqeel Ahmed not guilty of carrying weapons without license in 2014.

The Judge, Nadeem Ahmed Khan pronounced the verdict after recording statements of witnesses and hearing arguments from both sides. According to the prosecution, there was charge against the accused of carrying illicit weapons but he was found not guilty.

The police arrested the accused near Railway Line, Malir on 6 May 2014 and claimed to had recovered weapons without license.
