Man gets one year in weapons case

Karachi: An Additional District & Session Court Central awarded one-year imprisonment with a fine of Rs 20,000 to convict, Muhammad Saddam, in illegal weapons possession case.

The accused, Saddam, was found guilty of carrying weapons without license within the limits of Super Market police station in 2014.

The Judge, Faiz Mohammad Bhatti, pronounced the verdict after recording the evidences, statements of witnesses and hearing the arguments from both sides. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000. The convict will have to undergo an additional one-month imprisonment if he fails to pay the fine.
