Mauripur police seize smuggled Iranian diesel

KARACHI: Mauripur police on Thursday claimed to have seized a tanker-truck filled with Iranian smuggled diesel and separately arrested a murder accused among 12 others alleged criminals.

According to a police report, Station House Officer (SHO) Mauripur, Inspector Aijaz Mughal, taking action on tipoff seized Iranian smuggled diesel tanker and arrested accused Deedar. The diesel was 400 liters.

The same police party held encounters in two areas, Mauripur Road and Hawksbay Road and arrested three bandits, Abdul Razzaq alias Baba, Arif alias Khan, and Abdul Kareem, and recovered three pistols, three magazines, 14 rounds, looted goods from them.

Police also claimed to arrest a murder case accused Arsalan and recovered weapons from his possession.

Additionally, police arrested five accused of land mafia, Fazal, Allah Bachayo, Naseeb Khan, Adnan, and Sartaj, who were involved in land grabbing.

The police also arrested two accused, Abdul Kareem Baloch and Zafar Iqbal who were involved in drug cases. Police recovered hashish from their possession.
