Peshawar: The 24th meeting of the Board of Governors of Education Testing & Evaluation Authority was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Higher Education, Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani at the Directorate of Archives and Libraries Peshawar. Secretary Higher Education, Vice Chancellor University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar, Vice Chancellor Khyber Medical University Peshawar and other members of the Board of Governors attended the meeting.
The meeting was briefed about performance and progress of the ETEA. Provincial Minister Mushtaq Ghani lauded the performance of ETEA particularly the Board of Governors to ensure transparency in entry test system and directed to strengthen the authority to provide equal opportunities to all as well as to ensure transparency.
He said the present provincial government is also taking serious initiatives in this regard. He further stated that due to the socio economic importance of medical and engineering, besides strengthening the concerned institutes, it was need of the hour to bring transparency in entry test system.
ETEA not only perform this duty in best manner but also played a vital role to eliminate sense of deprivation of students regarding entry test process. It was decided in the meeting to hold entry test for engineering on August 10, while for medical on August 17, 2014 at four centres simultaneously including Peshawar, Swat, Abbottabad and D.I.Khan.
