ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has said that cooperation is being extended to Britain in Dr Imran Farooq murder case by remaining within the parameters of law and the constitution.
Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday, he said they are extending cooperation according to international agreements. He said there is a treaty with Britain regarding exchange of criminals.
He said Dr Imran Farooq murder case is very sensitive and arrest of central figure in the case is an important development. He said performance of institutions of Pakistan in this regard is very important. He said the government has decided that the case will be taken to its logical end keeping aside politics.
To a question, he said there is no link between his meeting with British High Commissioner the other day (Tuesday) and MQM’s chief Altaf Hussain’s appearance before the London Police in money laundering case. He said the meeting was already scheduled.
