Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance Muzaffar Said advocate has asked the educationists to deliberate over reformation of the existing system in the country and help evolve a system in coincidence with of the ideological foundations of the country capable of answering to the challenges of of the current era.
This, he said while addressing as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the newly established blocks of Microbiology and Pak Studies Department at the Hawelian campus of Hazara University.
Vice Chancellor Hazara University, Dr. Sohail Shezad, Chairman, Pharmacy Department, Dr. Azhar Sherkheli, Professor Dr. Mukhtar Hassan and Amir of Jamaat Islami Abbottabad, Abdur Razaq Abbasi also spoke on the occasion. The Provincial minister also distributed certificates among the students.
While addressing the ceremony, Muzaffar Said said that teaching was a sacred profession which was playing key role in the noble cause of character building of youth. Lauding the contribution of teachers and students, the minister denoted the students to fully focus on equipping them with sound knowledge as the nation had attached expectations to them.
He also asked them to be well familiar of the teachings of Islam so that to fight successfully against sectarianism and other social evils in the society.
He urged the educationists to deliberate over finding ways of overcoming the challenges faced by the country. “ As academicians play the vital role in solving national problems searching out a solution for it abroad”, he maintained.
The minister declared that the government would properly consult educationists in preparation of the next annual budget to prepare a balanced budget, according to the needs and requirements of the province. He said that Jamaat-e- Islami has joined the PTI coalition govt. in the province to eliminate, injustice, corruption, poverty and ignorance from the province.
The finance minister also performed the ground breaking ceremony on the football ground at the campus and assured provision of funds for it completion. Similarly, he also planted a sapling there. The minister also announced Rs.2 millions for the Pharmacy Department of the university.
Earlier, Muzaffar said, while addressing different gatherings at Selhad and Hawelian, appealed to the people to choose honest representatives in the next election to lead the country towards the goal of prosperity and development. Local Leaders of Jamaat Islami were also present on the occasion.
