Minister: (Govt taking effective steps to eliminate terrorism: Rashid)

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continue fight against terrorism until complete elimination of the menace from the country.

In an interview, he said the government is taking effective steps to eliminate terrorism and extremism. He said on the Prime Minister’s directives, federal ministers including Abdul Qadir Baloch, Baleegh-ur-Rehman, Sardar Mohammad Yousaf and he himself, visited the Bacha Khan University soon after the attack to express solidarity with the families of the victims.

To a question, he said the operation Zarb-e-Azb was launched to purge the country of anti-state elements, which will continue until the target is accomplished.
