Minister: (Govt to introduce vocational secondary schools: Baligh)

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to introduce vocational secondary schools from this year in order to produce skilled manpower.

This was stated by Minister of State for Education Baligh-ur-Rehman while addressing the national conference on Quality Education and Training for Socio Economic Development here on Wednesday.

He said these secondary schools will provide technical training to the students from class six to matriculation. He said the federal government has doubled the budget for higher education from Rs 40 billion to 80 billion to promote higher education in the country. Similarly, he said all the provincial governments have also enhanced their funding for this vital sector.
