Minister: (Imran Khan’s demand of ECP members’ resignation an excuse to escape from by-polls, says Info Minister)

ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that Imran Khan’s demand for resignation of Election Commission members is an excuse to flee from by-elections.

He said PTI chief’s exertion of pressure on ECP members to resign is tantamount to technical retreat which will make holding by-election impossible. He said PTI would be defeated in the by-elections in the two constituencies, NA-122 and NA-154 with huge margin.

He said the history of Haripur by-elections would be repeated where his party had been defeated by huge margin of over 47,000 votes. He said PTI should shun politics of agitations and sit-ins keeping in view current scenario in the country.
