Minister: (Integrated border management at Pak-Afghan border introduced: Baligh)

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior, Balighur Rehman has said that an integrated border management system has been introduced at Pak-Afghan border to check smuggling of illicit drugs in the country.

Addressing a seminar on Anti-Narcotics Efforts here on Wednesday, he said Pakistan has been declared poppy free country by the UNODC as a result of steps taken by the government.

He said overall law and order situation of the country has improved significantly following the launch of Zarb-e-Azb operation. He said the government is also coming up with code of ethics for media that will prohibit not only glorification of terrorists and criminals but also smoking and drug abuse.
