Minister: (NAP being implemented in letter and spirit: Kh Asif)

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Khawaja Mohammad Asif has said that the National Action Plan (NAP) on counterterrorism is being implemented in letter and spirit.

In an interview on Wednesday, he said the meetings of apex committees are being held regularly and within next one and a half years, people would witness the results. He appreciated the role of media for supporting and highlighting the achievements of Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

To a question about Nandipur Power Project, the Minister said the project would be converted on gas next year, which would help reduce its’ per unit cost to a considerable level.

He said the machinery of Nandipur Power Project could not be run to its full capacity of producing 425 MW due to technical faults in the fuel treatment plant, which was purchased by the previous government.
