Minister: (NAP has restored peace in Karachi: Rashid)

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that National Action Plan (NAP) has restored peace in Karachi.

In an interview on Monday, he said Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah also recently acknowledged that seventy to eighty percent success against terrorism was achieved due to the plan.

The Minister said the previous PPP government did not pay heed to any plan to eliminate terrorism. He said the PML-N government immediately after coming to power started efforts for strengthening economy and combating terrorism. He said now the terrorists are being apprehended and punished.
