Minister: (Nation united and committed against terrorism: Nisar)

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan says we have to win the war against terrorism at all costs for development and prosperity of the country.

He was addressing the 30th passing out parade of Punjab Rangers at Pakistan Rangers Academy in Mandi Bahauddin on Wednesday.

The minister said the country is facing numerous problems relating to country’s security and terrorism. He said Rangers have the responsibility to safeguard the country and ensure its security.

He said the Rangers have the responsibility to defend country’s frontiers as well as counter terrorism inside the country. He said their job is very difficult as the enemy is not visible.

He said the Rangers have to counter the enemy, who is spreading anarchy and chaos in the country in the name of Islam and targeting women and children. He said the terrorists are creating chaos in the country by getting financial help from the enemies of the country.

The minister said that security agencies have the backing of the whole nation in their war against terrorism. He said the government has allocated 45 billion rupees for the civil armed forces.

Later, talking to newsmen the minister said the government will continue to take strict measures till complete elimination of terrorism and extremism. He said nation got more united and committed against terrorism after the condemnable Attock incident.

He said we have reached close to the elements involved in the incident. He praised the martyred Punjab Home Minister Shujah Khanzada for his boldness.
