Minister: (Operation Zarb-e-Azb to cost $1.75 billion: Dar)

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that operation Zarb-e-Azb will cost $1. 75 billion ( one point seven five billion dollars).

In a media briefing in Pakistan’s Embassy in Washington on Sunday, he said Pakistan requires $ 800 million for repatriation of Temporarily Displaces Persons (TDPs).

The Minister said that the government intends to privatize 35 entities and it will pay loan through privatization of HBL.

He said shares of distribution companies will be sold in the next phase. He said remittances are likely to increase by 15 percent this year.
