Minister orders ending doctors shortage

KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar on Tuesday directed the secretary health to end the shortage of doctors and paramedics at Rural Health Centre Pir Jo Goth and Nasarpur, and solve the issue at earliest.

Taking notice of shortage of medical staff and medicines at health centres, he said all possible efforts were being taken to provide better health care to people in every corner of the province and no employee of health department will be deprived of his job, as their interest was the first priority of the health Department.

Dahar said that it was the prime duty of employees of health department to provide health care facilities to the people and they should perform their duties honestly, and being a health minister, he would not tolerate any negligence.

Meanwhile, the minister directed 12 long absent doctors to appear before him, out of which five are women medical officers. It is to noted that the health department has taken initiatives against absent doctors and it had brought good result.
