ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif has said that Pakistan is making sincere efforts to develop cordial relations with the neighbouring countries.
In an interview on Monday, he said India should also show serious attitude for maintaining peace in the region. He said terrorism is an international problem and Pakistan has rendered a lot of sacrifices in war against the menace.
He said India wants to keep Pakistan engaged in a “low-intensity war” on its eastern border. He said that the government is involving international players to play their role for resolving Kashmir issue.
He said the armed forces of Pakistan are fully capable to respond any aggression effectively and protect the geographical boundaries of Pakistan. He said that operation Zarb-e-Azb is moving ahead successfully and the entire nation is supporting it for peace on permanent bases.
