KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Prisons and Anti Corruption, Manzoor Wasan, on Friday directed anti-corruption officials to accelerate action against officials involved in corrupt practices in government institutions.
He said that it was prime objective of the provincial government to end corruption from the provincial departments.
Giving directions to newly appointed Chairman Anti Corruption Ghulam Haider Jamali, Wasan warned corrupt officials to end their wrongdoings and said that strict action would be taken against any official found guilty of corruption.
The minister expressed dissatisfaction over performance of anti-corruption establishment and said that the officials had failed to fulfil their duties.
“Registration of cases against corrupt officials is very slow,” he said adding that anti-corruption committee-1 meeting should be called in order to take approval for action against corrupt officials.
