Minister: (Western route of CPEC to benefit backward areas: Ahsan Iqbal)

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that the completion of western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Project will benefit the backward areas of the country.

Addressing a roundtable dialogue here on Wednesday, he said the corridor project envisages eighty percent investment in energy project.

In his remarks on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong termed the CPEC an important project. He said the project really reflects the strong bonds of friendship between the two countries.
