ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training is holding a two day international conference on education here from today (Thursday) to Friday to meeting the learning needs of all children, youth and adults.
Federal Minister for Planning Development and Reforms, Professor Ahsan Iqbal will be chief guest at opening ceremony and Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Muhammad Bligh-ur-Rehman will be chief guest at closing ceremony of the event.
The international conference entitled “E-9 Ministerial Review Meeting” will be attended by delegations from nine countries including Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico and Nigeria.
The E-9 meeting will review progress towards reaching Education for All (EFA) goals, exchange experiences and discuss strategies for collaborative action and coordination. Over half of the world population and more than 70 per cent of non-literate youth and adults belong to these countries.
