More than 4700 patients treated by PN at Gwadar

Karachi: With an aim to extend all out support and expressing empathy with the under privileged people of coastal areas, Pakistan Navy established a three day free medical camp at Naval welfare centre, Gwadar from 4 to 6 December for local populace of the area.

A medical team comprising Gynaecologist, Dental Surgeon, Surgical, Medical, Eye, Skin, ENT and Child Specialists along with paramedical staff were deputed at the camp. PN Medical team provided skilled medical treatment to the patients in general health care, ENT, Dermatology, Dentistry, Gynaecology and Child care. For proper diagnosis, a laboratory was also set up for blood, ultrasound and X-ray test. Team besides providing free medical treatment and free medicines to the patients also conducted minor surgeries.

Apart from extending medical facilities, the camp was also aimed at educating local populace on public health, prevention of diseases, child health care, personal hygiene and sanitation of living area. Medical examination of school children was also carried out besides advising parents and teachers on correctable disabilities and nutritional deficiencies.

Civil and Military dignitaries visited the camp to review the facilities provided at PN Free Medical Camp. Pakistan Navy is fully aware of the problems being faced by the people of Coastal area and is committed to provide humanitarian and medical aid to facilitate them.
