MoU (PARC, GCWU sing MoU to strengthen scientific infrastructure)

Islamabad: The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) and Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation to strengthen scientific infrastructure.

The MoU was signed by Secretary PARC Dr. Munir Ahmad and VC, GCWU, Dr. Farhat Saleemi on behalf of their respective organizations. The signing ceremony was witnessed by PARC Chairman, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad, Registrar PIASA, Dr. Ehsan Akhtar, PARC Directors, Sardar Ghulam Mustafa, Asif Masood, Dr. Falk Naz and Dr. Khalid Farooq. According to the MoU, both the organizations would pursue a programmes of scientific, technical and academic collaboration for the exchange of ideas, skills and techniques on problems of national interest.

The organizations would jointly supervise MS and Ph.D scholars, exchange and train faculty, students and supervisors and would share technical personnel and material.

The MoU envisages joint and coordinated scientific research and technological development programmes in selected areas besides holding of joint conferences, seminars, symposia and workshops at National and International level. Both the organization would have access to each other’s knowledge, data, library and labs and would also share and exchange scientific information, research materials and internships.

According to the MoU, internees of GCWU would be facilitated at PARC laboratories for their research projects while GCWU would facilitate PARC scientists on research activities in Sialkot. Both the organizations would disseminate results of studies through joint publications.
