MPA announces Rs1 million for Chitral hospital

CHITRAL: Newly elected office-bearers of Paramedical Association Chitral took oath of their offices in a ceremony, held at District Headquarters Hospital Chitral. Member Provincial Assembly Saleem Khan was the chief guest on the occasion, while Haji Bashir Ahmad association’s divisional president administered the oath to newly elected cabinet of paramedics.

Addressing the ceremony, newly elected president Sardar Wali said that health department is facing acute shortage of paramedical staff. The existing staff is also facing great problems like shortage of residential quarters, proper office and transportation from doctors colony.

Outsiders also live in official quarters of health staff. They also demanded up-gradation of paramedical staff who are working day and night for welfare of patients.

MPA Saleem Khan announced Rs 1 million for maintenance and pipeline of water tanker for hospital and Rs 20,000 for organizing committee of Paramedics. Rahmat Ghazi PTI leader condemned the previous government who purchased diesel generator for DHQ hospital worth a huge amount, but it could not be used for a single day. He said that PTI government had brought reforms on revolution basis in health sectors as millions of rupees were released to DHQ hospital for purchasing medicines in first time of the history of Chitral. Dr. Faizul Mulk MS of DHQ Hospital, Waqar Ahmad vice president, Jamaluddin chairman paramedical association, Haji Bashir Ahmad and other also spoke on the occasion. The following office-bearers took oath of their office.

The new office-bearers are Sardar Wali president Paramedical association Chitral, Waqar Ahmad senior vice president, Fazal Alam vice president (I), Ms Naseem Akhtar vice president (II), Fazal Mohammad general Secretary, Abdul Aziz additional general secretary, Irshad Ahmad joint Secretary, Akbar Shah finance secretary, Nadeem Ahmad press secretary, Nizar Ali Khan coordination secretary and Riaz Ahmad office Secretary. A large number of paramedical staff, doctors and politician participated in the oath taking ceremony.
