KARACHI: The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) on Sunday strongly condemned the killing of MQM worker Muhammad Sajid belonging to Unit 89 of Landhi Sector.
In a statement, it demanded the arrest of the criminal elements involved in the killing. The Co-ordination Committee said that the abduction and killing of Muhammad Sajid had put a question mark on the operation being carried out against criminals.
The Co-ordination Committee said that certain criminal elements wanted to sabotage the membership campaign of the MQM and they were attacking membership camps. “They were also abducting MQM workers and killing them by inflicting inhuman physical torture.”
It deplored that the culprits behind the attack on the membership camp of the MQM in Orangi Town could not be arrested even after the passage of 24 hours. The Co-ordination Committee demanded of President Mamnoon Hussain, PM Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of the killing of Muhammad Sajid and bring the culprits to book.
