Murder accused remand extended

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday extended the remand of accused Abdul Qadir to police custody till 19 April 2015 in a cop murder case.

Police produced the accused before the ATC judge under tight security. The investigation officer requested the court to extend the remand as the accused was further required for investigation. The court accepted police request and extended the physical remand of the accused till 19 April. It also directed IO to submit a report in next hearing.

According to the prosecution, the accused was involved in a murder of constable Chaman near Agra Taj colony. Abdul Qadir was among the suspects arrested by rangers from MQM headquarter Nine-Zero on 11 March 2015.
