Murder accused remanded to police custody

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday remanded an accused Mohammad Aslam to police on physical custody till 10 May 2015 in a murder case.

Police produced the accused before the ATC judge under tight security. The investigation officer requested the court to allow physical remand of the accused as he was required for investigation to trace his connections. The court accepted the police request and remanded the accused to them on physical custody till 10 May.

According to prosecution, the accused was involved in murdering a person in 2010 within the jurisdiction of Zaman town police station. He had been absconding till 2010 and was arrested on 24th April 2015.
