My Karachi-Oasis of Harmony Exhibition from April 10th

KARACHI: Chairman Businessmen Group (BMG) and former President Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) Siraj Kassam Teli said on Thursday KCCI will be staging 12th sequel of “My Karachi-Oasis of Harmony 2015 Exhibition” from April 10th to 12th 2015 at Karachi Expo Centre.

This he said while addressing a press conference at KCCI office. He said the exhibition aims to focus on improving the positive image of Pakistan with a view to clarify a number of misconceptions about the overall security situation of Karachi.

He said Karachi is not only an industrial hub but he realizes that Karachi equal to Pakistan. He said in spite of current economic, political and social difficulties, My Karachi exhibition has become a significant event and one of the leading business platforms for trade and industry.

Since its inception, My Karachi exhibition has expended significantly which not only attracts visitors and exhibitors from all over Pakistan but also lures foreign delegates from various destinations who take keen interest in various products and services displayed at the exhibition.

He thanked government of Sindh for supporting this international events every year. Siraj said in previous exhibition KCCI team managed 248 stalls in five halls. He estimated five million people will participate in the exhibition.

Siraj said law and order situation of Karachi had been improved by Pakistan Rangers, police and other law enforcement agencies. He said target killing had decreased, but it could not be eliminated fully yet. He said street crimes had increased as compared the past. He also appreciated law enforcement agencies efforts to become peaceful Sindh Industrial Trading Estate (SITE) areas.

Iftikhar Vohra President KCCI and Mohammad Idrees Chairman Special Committee for My Karachi also spoke on the occasion.
