NA approves 64 demands for grants worth over Rs 1045.45 bln

Islamabad: The National Assembly which resumed its session in Islamabad on Wednesday with Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in the chair started the budget passing process by taking up demands for grants relating to different Ministries of the federal government for the next financial year.

The house taken up the demands for grants against which the opposition has not moved cut motions.

The house has approved demands of grants for Commerce Division, Communication Division, Pakistan Post Office, Defence Division and Survey of Pakistan.

The National Assembly has approved sixty four demands for grants worth over 1045.45 billion rupees for the next financial year.

These related to different ministries and divisions of the federal government against which no cut motions were moved by the opposition.

The demands for grants were moved by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
