ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reiterated that Pakistani nation would continue to fight against the menace of terrorism to bring peace and prosperity in the country.
He said this in his felicitating message to the nation at the eve of New Year. While greeting the nation at the advent of 2016, he said the entire nation has exhibited firm commitment to fight war against terrorism in this year.
He applauded the progress made in rooting out the militancy and fighting the menace of terrorism that culminated into bringing the ever awaited peace and prosperity into the country.
He appreciated the untiring endeavours of the government and the political forces and also paid tribute to the armed forces and law enforcement agencies for their bravery and valour in this war.
He said people of Pakistan have rendered matchless sacrifices during this war and made it possible to successfully implement National Action Plan as pledged and desired at the commencement of the preceding year 2015.
He was confident that Pakistan would make the best of available opportunities and make them productive in the succeeding year and would usher towards the accomplishing of not too distant goals of social harmony and economic development with the commencement of a game changer project China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
In this continuation, he mentioned that, the significance of energy sector revamp, dissemination of quality education and provision of the modern day health facilities could not be swept under the carpet at any cost, as they could be a panacea to the incumbent socio-economic perils, we are incumbently abreast with.
He said that utilization of the alternative energy recourses and exploration of new energy avenues could help us in mitigating the energy crunch sooner than later.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also stressed upon the need for reducing unemployment rate by creating skilled human capital and encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation to generate new employment opportunities.
He expressed his hope that the dawn of 2016 would make us unequivocally reflect on the year gone by with a view to analyze the high points and shortcoming we experienced in our national life.
The Speaker prayed that the New Year would bring joys and happiness to our nation and would offer us an opportunity to overcome the challenges confronting the nation with firm determination.
