NA: (Quran Khawani for PAS martyrs arranged in Parliament House)

ISLAMABAD: Quran Khawani for martyrs of Army Public School (APS) carnage, who lost their lives in the massacre on December 16 last year in Peshawar, was arranged here in the Parliament House Mosque, on Wednesday.

A large number of people including Speaker National Assembly, members of the National Assembly, Senators, Secretariat officers and staff were present at the occasion.

Remembering the Army Public School tragedy, NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that more than 132 children along with teachers were killed coldheartedly that shook the entire world. He remarked that mourning families and friends were not alone, and the entire nation equally shared their pain and stood shoulder to shoulder with them.

Quran Khawani was offered after the Zohar prayer followed by Fateha for the departed souls and prayers for the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity. Attendees also offered special prayers for national security and success of military operation being carried out against the terrorists.
