ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary for National Food Security and Research Rajab Ali Baloch informed the National Assembly on Thursday that Rs 41.3 billion in the form of feed gas and Rs 477 per 50- kg bag on imported Urea subsidy has been given to farmers.
To a question, Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Aminul Hasnat told the House that no proposal was under consideration to ban the use of loud-speaker for Azaan. He said a committee comprising Ulema from all schools of thought is working to create consensus on fixing timings of Azaans and prayers.
Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali informed the House that the Gadani Power Project is being pursued actively and its PC-I has been approved. He said the project is part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Projects.
He said about 226 million rupees have so far been incurred on the project for preparation of master plan, various feasibility studies and surveys. He said that National Transmission and Dispatch Company has prepared short, medium and long-term plans for upgrading the transmission lines.
