NA Speaker:(Iraq lauds Pakistan’s role in defusing tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran)

ISLAMABAD: Iraq has lauded Pakistan’s role in defusing tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

This was stated by Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Ebadi at a meeting with Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq in Baghdad. The Iraqi Prime Minister said terrorists want to destabilize the Muslim world.

The speaker apprised the Iraqi leader of Pakistan’s steps against terrorism and mentioned successes achieved under Operation Zarb-e-Azb. He said Pakistan and Iraq have vast opportunities to cooperate with each other in various sectors for mutual benefit.

Ayaz Sadiq said skilled manpower from Pakistan can play an important role in reconstruction and development of Iraq. The two leaders agreed to promote cooperation in defence, trade, agriculture, communications and aviation.
