NAB arrests Inayatullah Khan involved in construction of Adina Lahore Road

Peshawar: NAB (KP) today arrested Inayatullah Khan Abdali, MD / Contractor of M/s Abdali Brothers Ramzan & Co allegedly involved in sub-standard construction of Adina Lahore Road, District Swabi.

As per details, a complaint was lodged in NAB (KP) against the accused person for sub-standard construction of Adina Lahor Road Swabi and illegal gain in the form of higher rates. In 2005 the Provincial Govt granted approval for reconstruction of Adina Lahore (Swabi) road.

The project was financed by Asian Development Bank in the form of loan. Its completion was due in two years. However, even after three years the road was not and on other hand the completed portion of the road has been completely damaged due the fact that the survey design and PC-I specification was completely ignored during its construction by the contractor.

During the investigation it was revealed that accused Inayatullah Khan Abdali, has derived illegal gain / favour in the form of higher rates of asphalt concrete. Subsequently the accused person caused loss to the national exchequer amounting to Rs.22.642 Million. A sum of Rs.15.095 Million has already been recovered in the case from co-accused (Ex-Project Director and others).

The accused will be produced before the Accountability Court Peshawar for obtaining his physical remand.
