Nation happy over Test match victory against Australia

KARACHI: The Pakistani nation sprung to delight by the dashing performance exposed by Pakistani players in the Test series against Australia in Dubai that dropped jaws of spectators pros and cons on Monday as the series culminated.

It seemed as if some all-time-maestro of cricket world had been in guise of the Green Shirts. The most splendid shows were held by batsmen Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq and Azhar Ali, while spinners Zulfiqar Babar and Yasir Shah left Kangroos struggling throughout the series, not letting feel the absence of Saeed Ajmal.

Records were broken, ranks climbed higher, hopes deepened for upcoming world cup and team united. Social media was flooded with congratulations and expressions of astonishment as were the gatherings of friends for all time big victory for Pakistan.

Baseer Ahmed in amazement posted on Facebook: “what have gone wrong with Pakistan? Look at tuk tuk Misbah!”

Former professional cricketer with Middx & Surrey, Mark Ramprakash tweeted, “Younis Khan at it again. Amazing form from a class player! #PAKvAUS

An army captain and die-hard cricket fan, Zaheer posted: “Misbah is the funniest man who hit fastest fifty in test and slowest in ODIs. But still a great knock.”

It is also a cause for concern for the celebrating nation that would a cricket team with such a great performance would ever be able to play at home if yes then when?
