Naundero admn accepts citizens’ power load shedding cut demand

NAUNDERO: SEPCO authorities finally bowed down before public protest against worst electricity load shedding from 16 to 8 hours a day in Naundero town and 10 hours in villages, here on Thursday.

A revised load shedding schedule has been issued and enforced today. Assistant Commissioner, Ratodero, Dr MB Dharejo & DSP Naundero Yasin Tagar visited thousands of protesters and announced the decision. Earlier, Shehri Action Committee (SAC) leaders on the insistence of citizens had issued an ultimatum that they will enter into the grid station and operate it themselves if power outage schedule is not revised as per the announcement of the Prime Minister.

A heavy contingents of police belonging to as many as 15 police stations of Larkana remained alert inside and outside the grid station to face the situation but was timely averted minutes before SEPCO decision. After AC’s announcement, the citizens started dancing and celebrating their victory in the camp established three days ago in front of grid station and showed their jubilation.

All shops and bazaars were opened after the decision. While talking to Journalists, SAC President, Ghulam Hyder Narejo and other leaders Manzoor Mangi, Javed Bhutto, Maulana Abdul Qudoos Panhwar, Sahab Khan Shaikh and others congratulated the Naunderiites for standing united and firm throughout the last three days due to which the government was forced to accept their justified demand.
