Nazims develop close liaison with people and keep vigil on progress, Inayatullah

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Parliamentary Leader of J.I. Inayatullah Khan has asked the Nazims to develop close liaison with people and keep vigil on developmental schemes to ensure its quality so that the people could receive its fruits well in time.

He mentioned that every step of the government aimed at welfare of the masses while introducing the new local government system and empowering Nazimeen and councillors also had the same purpose. Hence he said, Nazims must serve the people especially the poor devotedly to provide them a certain relief.

He was talking to joint delegation of Nazim-Councillor Ittehad, Nazims from southern districts, Mardan and Charsadda at Local Government Secretariat Peshawar on Thursday that apprised him of their problems and demands.

Inayatullah termed all the demands genuine relating to development funds, rules of business, offices and honoraria. However, he asked Nazims to focus full attention on solution of the public grievances and expediting the pace of progress rather than demanding incentives for themselves. He said plight of Nazims and government officials would go better automatically if lot of people is ameliorated in socio-economic terms.

Senior Minister assured that interests and respect of Nazims at all level would be safeguarded. He said we all have to work hard and make the new local government system a success story in all respects.

He further assured that matters relating to operational grants and ADPs of Nazims would be regularized for good while better package of honoraria would be introduced. He also asked D.G. Local Government to start series of weekly meetings with Nazims and solving their problems in the earliest.
