KARACHI: Increasing demand of efficient and effective supply of products to end-users requires expert and well-educated people conversant with the value of the whole supply chain management process. Knowledge of supply chain management in present times will help them improve their capacity for competitive advantage in the global markets.
This was stated by Prof. Dr. Khalid M. Iraqi, Dean, Faculty of Management & Administrative Sciences, University of Karachi, in his message for the seminar “Why we need an agile supply chain management” organized at the campus.
He appreciated that the Department of Public Administration has, as the beginning, initiated the teaching of Supply Chain Management as diploma course.
The guest speakers included Rizwan Malik, Azhar Qadri and Zeeshan Ilyas and Ismail Hasan coming from organizations dealing in a variety of business areas including airline, media, drilling, and consultancy.
