Nine killed in different city mishaps

KARACHI: Nine persons were killed in different incidents in the metropolis on Sunday.

Aqeel, 28, son of Mohammad Aslam, died when a speeding vehicle hit him at Godhra Muslim area in North Karachi. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

In another road accident, a man, Babu, 30, son of Jeera, was died when a vehicle hit him in Noor Mohammad Goth, Gulshan-e- Maymar. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.

Food company’s six wokers were killed when they fell in a chemical tank near Fazal Elahi Hospital in Allahwala Town, Korangi. They were identified as Mehtab, Adnan, Sohail, Nawaz, Imran and Saleem. All of them were between 30 to 40. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medico-legal formalities.

According to rescue sources, a youth, Atif, 16, son of Jameel, drowned in Hub Daim. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.
