No load-shedding during Iftar, Sehar and Taraveeh in Ramazan

Islamabad: Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said there would be no load-shedding in the country during Iftar, Sehar and Taraveeh timings. Addressing a press conference on Monday he said that government would bring power generation up to 85 per cent of the total installed capacity in the country to reduce loadshedding during Ramazan. The Minister said there would be equal distribution of electricity in the country during Ramazan.

He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is taking keen interest to resolve electricity crisis. About installation of electricity meters at tube wells, Abid Sher Ali said that he had instructed officials to install meters at the earliest.

He maintained the government was also providing tractors on subsidized rates and offering insurance policy on crops to improve farmers economic condition.
