No load shedding on Shab-e-Barat

KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has said that K-Electric has ensured that no load-shedding would occur at the eve of Shab-e-Barat in order to relieve citizens to perform prayers with serenity.

Siddiqui said this while presiding a meeting with KE officials. Additional Commissioner Karachi I Muhammed Aslam Khoso, Assistant Commissioner Shahzaib Hassan and other relevant officers were also present on the occasion.

He welcomed the decision taken by KE for exempting load-shedding on Shab-e-Barat and said that KE should take complete measures to ensure irresistible power supply to mosques, graveyards and other praying areas on the occasion. The commissioner praised the KE role for providing relief in the interest of common men.

He also directed all the deputy and assistant commissioners to finalize all the works regarding the occasion. The administrative officers were also directed to ensure action against firecrackers and fireworks in cooperation with police officers.
