No taking sides in FPCCI polls

KARACHI: Referring to a news item appearing in the press, the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has clarified that KCCI and the ruling Businessmen Group (BMG) have got nothing to do with the business politics of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and are not supporting any group in FPCCI’s election.

In a statement issued, Chairman Businessmen Group, Siraj Kassam Teli categorically denied having any connection with a recent press report appearing in local newspapers and further advised the Press & Media to avoid using Karachi Chamber’s name if the Press Release is not issued on the official letterhead by KCCI’s Media Department.

Chairman Businessmen Group and Former President KCCI, Siraj Kassam Teli said, “Businessmen Group has no plans to participate in FPCCI’s election as we firmly believe that FPCCI is marred with corruption and continues to represent dozens of bogus and fake chambers and trade bodies.”
