One bandit killed, three others injured in separate encounters

THATTA: A notorious dacoit was killed and three others were arrested in injured condition in two separate encounters with police near here on Saturday.

According to the details, a notorious dacoit, Mohammad Nawaz Khaskheli, was killed in a shootout with a police party within the jurisdiction of Gharo police station, 40 kilometers from Thatta. Police recovered a Kalashnikov from his custody.

In another incident, three dacoits – Shahnawaz Khaskheli, Mukhtiar Khaskheli, Nadeem Chandio – opened fire on Jhirk police which was patrolling on a link road leading to Jhampir. The police also exchange fire that injured the three bandits. Police claimed that the injured accused were wanted to them in different crime cases.
