One dies, four injured in Thatta road mishap

Thatta: One person died and four others injured when a heavy speeding trailer hit a rickshaw near National highway on Saturday.

According to rescue sources, a speeding trailer-truck collided with a rickshaw at Sada Bahar bus stop on National Highway, three kilometers away from Thatta.

Resultantly, a man, Nazar Mohammad Khaskheli, resident of village Soof, died on spot while four others indentified as Waheed, Moosa, Rubina Khaskheli and Rabia Khaskheli, were severely injured an shifted to Civil Hospital Makli.

After the incident, police arrested the trailer driver.

On the other hand, local rickshaw drivers’ association held a demonstration led by President Ghulam Hussain Chang, outside the local press club against the incident.

The protestors blocked the National Highway and demanded the authorities to give an alternate route for heavy traffic and save public from such kinds of incidents.
