One killed, four injured in Karachi violence

KARACHI: One person was killed and four others were injured in different violence incidents in the city on Sunday. An unknown alleged bandit was killed in police an encounter at Do Darya near Defence Housing Authority (DHA) checkpoint. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy.

Darakshan Police Station Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ramzan informed that the bandit was killed in an encounter with police at Do Darya. The police also recovered a stolen motorcycle from his possession.

In another incident, Jahanzaib, 30, son of Mukhtiar, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near Taj Complex, Saddar. The injured was rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment.

Yet in another incident, Kashif, 25, son of Basheer, residence of Baldia, was shot and injured by unknown armed men in Dawood Goth, Baldia. The injured was shifted to CHK for treatment.

Separately, a woman Sabeeha, 12, son of Bakhtawar, residence of Landhi, was shot and injured by unknown armed men in Mulimabad, Landhi. The injured was rushed to JPMC for treatment.

Meanwhile, Yasir, 35, son of Khursheed, resident of Lee market, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near a hospital in Lee Market. The injured was shifted to CHK for treatment.
