KARACHI: A man was killed and nine others were injured in different road mishaps in the metropolis on Sunday.
According to rescue sources, Shakil, aged around 24, was killed when an unidentified speeding vehicle hit him near Boat Bason area in Clifton. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy.
Three persons were injured in the collision between a car and a rickshaw near Jugi Morr in Korangi. One injured was identified as Iqbal, 32, son of Junaid, while the identity of two other wounded could not be ascertained yet. However, their ages were 28 and 30. Iqbal was shifted to Sindh Social Hospital Korangi and two others to JPMC for treatment.
Two youth – Sajjad, 20, son of Wahab, and Shakil, 17, son of Munir, were injured when their motorcycle slipped near Gulistan-e-Jauhor. They were shifted to Darul Sehat Hospital for treatment.
Rehan, 22, son of Abdul Aziz, was injured in road mishap near 4-K bus stop in New Karachi. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment.
Younus, 28, son of Gul Bahar, was injured when his motorcycle slipped near Islam Chowk in Orangi town. He was shifted to Qatar Hospital for treatment. In a separate incident, Sharafat, 30, son of Abdul Jabbar, was injured when his motorcycle slipped near Shershah. He belong to Ittehad town and was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment.
Tahir, 40, son of Ahmed, was injured when his rickshaw overturned on Rexer Brigde. He was shifted to CHK for treatment.
