One killed, six injured in different road mishaps

KARACHI: One person was killed and six others were injured in different road mishaps in the metropolis on Sunday.

A man, Saddam Hussain, 25, son of Hakeem, was killed when a speeding vehicle hit him in Machar Colony, Manghopir area. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy.

According to rescue sources, four persons were injured when two vehicles collided with each other. The injured were shifted to JPMC for treatment. The identity of the injured could not be ascertained yet.

In another road mishap, a boy, Uzair, 19, son of Zafar, was injured when a speeding vehicle hit him near Bank Al Habib in Malir Halt. The injured was brought to JPMC fot treatment.

Separately, a man, Noman, 25, son of Sher Mohammad, resident of Shah Latif Town, fell down from a train and got serious injuries on Drigh road. He was shifted to JPMC for treatment.
