One killed, two injured in police encounter

KARACHI: An alleged dacoit was killed and another criminal injured in different police encounters in the metropolis on Tuesday.

According to sources, the encounter took place near McDonalds restaurant, Board Office in North Nazimabad. Three bandits were trying to loot a person when police shot dead one of them, who was identified as Abdullah, 27, son of Rafiq. However, his two accomplices managed to flee from the scene. The dead was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.

In another encounter, an alleged criminal identified as Amjad, aged about 22, was injured in a police encounter near Tayaba Mosque outside Civil Hospital Karachi. He was shifted to CHK for treatment.
