Opinion Poll: (58% Pakistanis claim to be satisfied with history syllabi in children’s school textbooks)

ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 58% Pakistanis claim to be satisfied with the syllabi in children’s history textbooks in schools.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Are you satisfied with the syllabi of children’s history textbooks in schools?”

In response to this question 28% said that they are completely satisfied, 30% said that they are satisfied to some extent and 24% said that they are not satisfied. 18% did not respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1756 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during December 07 – December 14, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
