ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 70% Pakistanis opined that children nowadays are respectful towards their elders, teachers and other people.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “In your opinion, do children in our society nowadays pay respect and behave well with their elders, teachers or other people?” In response to this question 70% said yes and 29% said no. 1% did not respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1883 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 04 – January 11, 2016. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
